Welcome to 3-N-1 Volunteer Fire Department!

Our History

3-N-1 Vol. Fire Dept. was founded in 1984 to serve the communities of Rosanky, Pine Valley and String Prairie.  We have provided fire and rescue services to South Central Bastrop County for over 25 years. Beginning with a single fire truck obtained through a grant from the Texas Forest Service, 3-N-1, today operates a fleet of nine trucks and has over 20 dedicated volunteers.

3-N-1 strives to constantly improve our level of service. The department has three fast attack brush trucks, one tenders, one pumper/tender, one 4x4 light rescue and one Class A pumper.  Our trucks range from 1996 to 2008 year models.

These services do not come without a cost. Fuel expenses, maintenance and up keep is very expensive and protective gear and tools are ever increasing in complexity and price.  The department works diligently to attract and retain dedicated and professional volunteers. 3-N-1 has plans to add additional services, stations, trucks and specialized equipment that we think will take us to the next level of fire protection.

Volunteers Needed and Appreciated

If you are interested in learning more about what we do and how you can get involved, please attend one of our monthly business meeting to find out more.  If you're ready to jump in and volunteer, please complete an application and attend our monthly business meeting to begin the process.  If you commit to helping your community, we will commit to provide you with certified top notch training, proper safety gear, live long friendships, and a path to becoming a certified firefighter.  Our training is recognized throughout Texas and is provided at no cost to you.  You can go as far with firefighting as you desire to go.  We have volunteers that have completed their training and now work as Paid Firefighters inside and outside our community.
